We woke up very early because we reserved a visit at 8 .00 am to the Antelope canyon into the Navajo reservation ( yesterday and today we noticed that the life`s condition inside the reservation it is not good enough )
The canyon : we arrived at the site after a ride with a 4x4 truck through a fantastic dirty road ( the dream for any off road rider ). As soon we walked in we've realized the power of the water ( the walls of the canyon were perfectly smooths) . Anyway , I can`t describe the beauty of the canyon with some word , considering also my english ) . Pictures can explaine it much better .
Some notes about the canyon :the speed of the water that pass trough it is 50 miles per hour . Ten years ago , 11 tourists got trapped into the canyon : only one survived !

Despite this info , we left Page towards Monument Valley in a excellent mood and in a sunny day !
Monument Valley : 18 miles of beauty.

Fellows , nothing it`s better to decide when to start , where to go , following the mood and not the rules !!!!!
Some comments about the last three days : not so many bikers ( probably it`s too hot) but a lot of German and French Canadian tourists .
The only indians we have seen are only along the roads, selling their hand made products (I`ve bought a beautiful ring ) .For my Italian friends : sono stato in compagnia di Tex Willer( Aquila della notte ) , Kit Carson e soci per due giorni , mancava solo Mephisto (era a New Orleans) . E adesso andiamo a mangiare una bistecca alta due dita e una montagna di patatine fritte

When I was posting the last stage I have received a bad news from Italy . A friend passed away . Mirco was riding his bicycle with the same enthusiasm I know he had since when we were working together . He`ve lost control of his mountain bike and he felt down on the dirty road hitting a rock with a head .........He didn`t stand up anymore, and he died in this stupid way . He will not jump on his bike again because from what I`ve heard he wasn`t wearing the helmet !!!!! Folks , (especially kids ) anytime that you jump on two wheels, on a skateboard , snowboard etc etc , do not forget that the helmet can save your life ! Wear it and keep it fasten !!!!!!!!!!!!! Mirco was a great man , always available when anybody of us were need something . We all will miss his energy and his smile . Sioux City -Waterloo- Dubuque- Galena- Chicago ( 490 mls)

As the yesterday`s stage , also today this was the scenery for hundreds mls . Question : How many pop corn does the Americans eat every day day ? and again .... no human presence . Where are they ? I`ve though that maybe the aliens are kidnapping everybody that is not using cars or a trucks !!!! At the last moment we`ve decided to continue on the 20 east , we crossed the Mississippi River and we have found this amazing city : Galena . Very nice Approaching Chicago the trucks presence became normal . After 490 mls we finally arrived to Chicago. Today we are off.

Jackson Hole- Yellowstone Park- Silver Gate ( Cooke City) 201 Miles

We woke up thinking to have a nice day ( from the weather point of view ) and have the possibility to visit the Park slowly ,enjoying the warm sun that was with us yesterday . We opened the curtains and ............damn`d !!!!!! It was raining . Do you know that thin rain that can continue for hours ???? Exactly that one . We didn`t to get depressed and we dressed properly to go to the park despite the bad conditions ( even the guy on the below picture it was dispppointed about the rain ) . Unfortunately , on the way to the park ( in the mean time the rain became stronger ) we have foud 11 miles of road works that force us to drive on a dirty road with a very slippery mud . The mud and the rain made the ride very tough ! Thanks God, around noon the clouds disappeared and a fantastic blue sky with a vivid sun were finally above us Under the sunlight the colours of the park changed and finally we can appreciate the beauty of the enviroment .
