Niagara Falls - New York (410mls)

Image
The falls in the morning . Sometimes I feel like M.Modine in Birdie . I would like to have the wings and I`m wondering why we do not have it to fly over the world like these gooses or this seagull. then I see people with this weight and I understand why for the humans it`s better walk ! The waitress asks : do you want small or large ? Olly said , small !!!!!! Look his Mexican salad : "this is a normal size in America" Upstate NY is very "country side" . To come down to the City we didn`t take the main higway , so , we `ve felt to be thousands mls away from the metropolitan area . Rain again Unfortunately the last two hours we are been under a very heavy rain and it was foggy . It`s been difficult to ride . the rain stopped when we were arriving to the city tired ( look my eyes) but happy at Motorcycle Federation where Leila gave me a fresh beer . It`s been great !!!!!!!!!!!!

Chicago- Elkhart- Cleveland-Buffalo - Niagara Falls ( 610 mls)

The longest stage of the entire journey !!!! After one day off , we `ve rode again towards East. We had a really break....FAST on the highway before to go to visit the Amish County in North Indiana . It`s always interesting to see how these people live in the modernity , without to renounce to the ancestral`s traditions In Nappanee , there was a huge open air fair ( vintage ) and it was crowd of people but Olly didn`t want to go, after two weeks on the bike he`s a bit tired and he wants to arrive to NY asap . Suggestion : if some of you want to take a tour in an Amish county go to Lancaster County in Pennsylvania , for me it`s better . Thus , after 550 mls we entered into NY State with these trip`s companions ( hundreds ) and 60 mls later , we arrived at Niagara Falls around 7.30 pm very very tired . We also had to go to several hotels before to find a room . I was exhausted ! Anyway , we took a shower and we did go to eat to the local Hard Rock Cafe (Olly`s choice ) . After dinner w

Chicago

Which one of these two wild sceneries do you like ? Wild West Or Wild East ? I know your answer but like me you are trapped on the Wild East stage . Damned !!!!!Anyway , as I`ve already said , Chicago is a very nice town . The Superior it is not a lake; is a Sea , huge, wide and very blue . The beaches are full of people and it really looks like Miami or Riccione . Unfortunately, I didn`t have the possibility to see the Chicago by night :-( !!!! Officially because I was too tired , for real I didn`t want to leave Olly by himself : the motel it wasn`t a 4**** lodge !!!. Here some pics during a normal day on the Windy City . Question : do you think that the spirit of Don Alfonso Capone still around ? Rush street It`s a joke , these are the real colors ......... but the spirit ..... Michigan Ave ( it looks like LES) Superior Lake Sears Tower from the shore Seagull See Olly

Sioux City -Waterloo- Dubuque- Galena- Chicago ( 490 mls)

As the yesterday`s stage , also today this was the scenery for hundreds mls . Question : How many pop corn does the Americans eat every day day ? and again .... no human presence . Where are they ? I`ve though that maybe the aliens are kidnapping everybody that is not using cars or a trucks !!!! At the last moment we`ve decided to continue on the 20 east , we crossed the Mississippi River and we have found this amazing city : Galena . Very nice Approaching Chicago the trucks presence became normal . After 490 mls we finally arrived to Chicago. Today we are off.

Rapid City- Badlands Nat'l Park- Sioux Falls- Sioux City (480 mls)

Rapid City : nothing special except this fantastic alley full of beautiful graffiti We`ve met also some young kids from the Res. another local Except the 30/40 miles we have rode inside the Badlands park (very bizarre place ) , this it' s been the most boring stage 'til now !!!! 440 mls on the highway 90 eastbound without any curve, the back tyre became almost squared. Because of this, I had to drive for almost 40 mls curving left and right in one lane to reduce this inconvenient. Anyway, we finally changed our diet. After a week of meat, we had some sushi/sashimi. We felt better and loved it!!!! Daily scenery: hundreds & hudreds of mls of prairie with cows; fields & fields cultivated of potatoes, corn, wheat and only one strange thing: no human activity along the road. Due to this very unexplained situation, I' ve asked to myself many times: when do the farmers work in order to keep the country and the farms so well organized? This question, it reminds me when i
