Flagstaff- Grand Canyon - Page 232 miles
Even if at the sunrise the sky was blue.........we had another day with rain !!
After an amazing breakfast at "Downtown Diner" , Olly ( the first from right ) said that it was the best bacon he ever had , we left Flagstaff quite early, in a very sunny morning and a perfect temperature !
On the way to the South Rim we rode through the Kaibab national forest ( red pines ) .Ride into this beautiful enviroment gave us a very big sense of freedom !!!!
I felt we were so blessfull to be there and watch that spectacular view : one of the seven marvelous of the Earth! We sat down speechless for at least 15 min ! I do not have any word to describe the magnificent work that mother earth gave to us ( we've felt so small ).
Captured from the beauty of the scenery , we remain there walking back & forth for at least a couple hours, 'till we are been forced to leave the area because the clouds were opening the shower !
On the way down and considering what we were seeing above us ,
we did change our mind and instead to go to Kayenta we took the road to Page ( lake Powell ) . This city has nothing particular to decribe . The only thing that caught my attention it was the year of foundation 1957 (my year) because of the Dam's construction !
We had a dinner at Butterhead rest. , it's been a disaster !!!!
Olly insist to do not tip the waitress .If you come around , don't go !
